Text Box: Welsh Lessons Thank you to everyone that responded to the Welsh Lessons advert. We now have a mailing list of interested people from the Communities First area. Unfortunately, due to the huge response, we are having to limit the places to people living in the Pontrhydygroes, Ysbyty Ystwyth and Llanafan area. A registration evening is to be held on the 11th September in Pontrhydygroes village hall between 7-8 pm. A nominal deposit will be needed for registration. Would all the people who put their names down, please attend in order to register your full details with the Welsh Language Centre. Beginners and Intermediate classes will be held on either Mondays or Thursdays. Provisional course start date 22nd September. This also gives those that haven’t registered, the chance to put their names down on the standby list in case others drop out or cannot attend. If you are unable to make this date please contact Communities First by 11th Sept so that they can take your full details over the phone and advise you what to do next.

After school club

Ysbyty Ystwyth school runs a breakfast club every school day morning from 8-9am and an after school club on a Thursday from 3:30-5pm for its pupils. Communities First are looking into a

pilot project which could link Llanafan after school club with

Ysbyty school and would involve using the community minibus to transfer Ysbyty pupils to the club in Llanafan. Parents will be kept informed through the school. Please phone 01974 282679 for more info on the existing clubs.
