Ysbyty Ystwyth Community Council consists of 8 elected members representing the residents of Ysbyty Ystwyth, Pontrhdydygroes and New Row. The council meets on the second Tuesday of each month in the Village Hall and members of the public are welcome to attend.
There are no meetings in August and December.
Community councillors are elected from their ward and serve a four year term of office.
The meeting is chaired by the chairman elected for a period of two financial years at the Annual General Meeting.
The notice of meeting and agenda is prepared by the clerk whom the councillors appoint for this purpose.
The community council levies an annual community charge or precept upon its households, in order to fund its activities. The current charge is £2500.00 and has been unchanged for several previous years. It is collected by the county council.
It should be noted that the councillors are volunteers and are unpaid.
